You may not:
- Use the website for fraudulent or unlawful purposes.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems.
- Interfere with the operation or security of the website.
- Upload malicious software, viruses, or harmful code.
- Copy, reproduce, or misuse our website content without permission.
- Use information obtained from our website for unlawful purposes.

3. Service Requests and Quotes
When you submit a service request, quote request, or project inquiry, you agree to provide accurate and complete information necessary for us to evaluate and complete your project.
Quotes may be based on factors including:
- Word count.
- Language pair.
- Document type.
- Complexity.
- Formatting requirements.
- Turnaround time.
- Interpretation requirements.
- Certification or notarization requirements.
- Additional project specifications.
A quote is not necessarily a final agreement until the project details, pricing, scope, and applicable terms have been confirmed by Translators Unlimited.
4. Pricing and Payment
Prices for our services will be communicated to the client before work begins whenever reasonably possible.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- Payment is required according to the terms provided with your quote or invoice.
- Additional work outside the original project scope may result in additional charges.
- Rush or expedited services may be subject to additional fees.
- Third-party fees, government fees, shipping charges, notarization fees, or other external costs may apply where relevant.
Failure to make payment when due may result in suspension or cancellation of services.
5. Project Scope and Additional Work
The agreed project scope is based on the information and materials provided by the client.
If the client requests changes, additional documents, additional words, new languages, revisions outside the agreed scope, or other additional services, Translators Unlimited may charge additional fees and/or adjust the delivery timeline.
We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant changes in scope before performing additional billable work.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and readable materials and instructions.
You are responsible for:
- Providing the correct source documents.
- Identifying the required target language.
- Providing accurate instructions and terminology where applicable.
- Informing us of any special formatting or certification requirements.
- Reviewing project requirements before approving the work.
- Providing timely responses when additional information is required.
Delays caused by missing information, late responses, or changes requested by the client may affect the delivery date.
7. Translation Accuracy and Review
Translators Unlimited makes reasonable efforts to provide professional and accurate language services.
However, language can involve terminology, context, regional variations, technical concepts, cultural differences, and client-specific preferences.
Where appropriate, clients should communicate specialized terminology, preferred terminology, style guides, or other requirements before work begins.
If you identify an issue with a completed translation or language service, please notify us within a reasonable period so that we can review the matter and, where appropriate, make corrections.
8. Certified Translations
When a certified translation is requested, the certification provided will correspond to the requirements and information applicable to the requested service.
Clients are responsible for informing us of any specific requirements imposed by a court, government agency, educational institution, immigration authority, or other organization.
Translators Unlimited does not guarantee that a particular third party will accept a translation or certification unless such acceptance has been expressly guaranteed in writing.
9. Apostille and Document Services
Apostille, authentication, notarization, and related document services may involve government agencies, courts, notaries, embassies, consulates, shipping companies, and other third parties.
Processing times may therefore vary and may be outside our direct control.
Translators Unlimited is not responsible for delays caused by government agencies, third-party organizations, incorrect client information, missing documentation, holidays, shipping issues, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
10. Interpretation Services
For interpretation assignments, clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the date, time, location, language pair, subject matter, number of participants, and required type of interpretation.
Changes or cancellations to interpretation assignments may be subject to applicable cancellation or rescheduling fees.
11. Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellation and refund eligibility may depend on the type and status of the service.
Because certain services require translators, interpreters, editors, government processing, scheduling, or other resources to be committed in advance, cancellation fees may apply.
Services that have already been completed, delivered, submitted for processing, or incurred third-party costs may not be eligible for a full refund.
Any refund determination will be made based on the specific circumstances of the order and applicable law.
12. Confidentiality
We understand that clients may provide confidential documents and information.
We take reasonable measures to protect client information and limit access to individuals and service providers who need such information to perform the requested services.
However, no electronic transmission, storage system, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Clients should not submit information through our website that they are legally prohibited from sharing with a third-party service provider.
13. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the Translators Unlimited website, including its text, graphics, logos, design, images, branding, and other content, is owned by or licensed to Translators Unlimited and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, sell, or commercially exploit our website content without prior written permission.
Client-provided materials remain the property of the client or their respective owners.

- Services will meet every individual preference or requirement unless specifically agreed.

16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Translators Unlimited and its employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from or related to the use of our website or services.
Our liability, where legally applicable, will be limited to the amount paid by the client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
17. Force Majeure
Translators Unlimited will not be responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
Such circumstances may include natural disasters, acts of government, war, civil unrest, internet or technology failures, power outages, labor disruptions, public emergencies, illness, transportation interruptions, government processing delays, or other unforeseen circumstances.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Translators Unlimited and its employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:
- Your violation of these Terms.

Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which Translators Unlimited operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Any dispute will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the appropriate courts or dispute-resolution procedures having jurisdiction.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
22. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any applicable service agreement, quotation, invoice, order confirmation, and other written agreement between you and Translators Unlimited, constitute the agreement governing your use of our website and services with respect to the applicable subject matter.
